The St. Joseph Provincialate, Bangladesh, came alive with immense joy and fervor as the Holy Cross Confreres gathered to celebrate the Feast of St. Brother André Bessette. This remarkable day was filled with moments of inspiration, gratitude, and community, honoring the life and legacy of St. Brother André, the “Humble and Miracle Man of Montreal.”
The program commenced with an engaging and insightful keynote address by Respected Brother Toren Joseph Palma, CSC, who eloquently spoke on the theme, “St. André: Humble and Miracle Man of Montreal.” Brother Toren highlighted St. André’s deep humility, unwavering faith, and dedication to serving the sick and needy, leaving the audience inspired to emulate his virtues in their own lives.
A Solemn Holy Eucharistic celebration followed, presided over by Fr. Charles B. Gordon, CSC, which brought a spiritual richness to the occasion. The Eucharist was a time for reflection and thanksgiving, allowing the Holy Cross family to draw closer to God through the intercession of St. Brother André.
Adding a creative dimension to the festivities, the Holy Cross Aspirancy proudly inaugurated their annual publication, “Protasha”, a testament to their dedication and commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering growth within the community.
The event also included a heartfelt speech by Sister Pushpa Gomes, CSC, the Area Coordinator of Holy Cross Sisters Asia, who encouraged everyone to draw inspiration from the life of St. Brother André. Brother Ripon James Gomes, CSC, Provincial Superior of St. Joseph Province, extended his warm words of gratitude to all the participants, organizers, and well-wishers for making the celebration a meaningful and memorable one.
The day concluded with a banquet dinner, bringing the Holy Cross family together in a spirit of unity and fellowship. The shared meal was a perfect ending to a day filled with prayer, reflection, and celebration, reminding everyone of the power of faith and community.
