Inauguration of APON Community Residence
Today marks a milestone for the Holy Cross Brothers in Bangladesh with the inauguration of a new residence at APON, the addiction rehabilitation center founded by Brother Ronald Drahozal, CSC, in 1994. For three decades, APON has provided a path to recovery for those struggling with addiction. Despite previous challenges in establishing an on-site community due to limited personnel, this long-awaited residence now enables the Brothers to live and serve directly at APON. The inaugural ceremony was led by Rev. Father Tushar James Gomes, who presided over the Holy Eucharist and blessed the new community. In attendance were Brother Ripon James Gomes, CSC, Provincial Superior of St. Joseph Province, Bangladesh, council members, Holy Cross Brothers, well-wishers, and APON staff. Brothers Prodip Louis Rozario, Sumon Anthony Rozario, and Rinku Lawrence Costa, CSC, are now in APON residence, with Brother Binoy Stephen Gomes and Brother Shaon Lawrence Palma joining weekly. This new community presence enhances APONโs spiritual life and deepens the Holy Cross's mission of compassionate service. We congratulate the Holy Cross Brothers on this new chapter and pray for a vibrant, meaningful community life at APON. May this residence be a source of hope, faith, and renewal for all.
